Falls Auto Group Classic

The Duramed FUTURES Golf Tournament will be held on August 7-9 at the Crooked Creek Golf Community in London, Kentucky. The Pro-Am will be held on August 6 with the Classic playing out $100,000.00 prizes with $15,000 going to the winner and $10,000 to the runner up. Various local Charities will benefit from having this tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Community. Mindy Kim from Diamond Bar, California was the winner last year and Vicki Hurst was second.

Crooked Creek Golf Course is one of southeastern Kentucky’s finest golf facilities. As stated in their web site that the front nine holds breathtaking views while the back nine is rolling hills, winding creek with tree lined fairways. They claim you will need to use every club in your bag as this truly is a championship golf course.

A residential golf setting in this community features Oaks of London which makes up the Crooked Creek Community living atmosphere. The Crooked Creek Website shows several photographs of the golf course, plus the Pro Shop and exercise room. A beautiful display of the dining room and bar called the Vintage House. In the section called course layout lists all eighteen holes so when you click on each one it show the diagram of each hole, yardage and hazards involved. There is a description and suggestion on selective club use and trouble on each hole.

This is the second year the Crooked Creek Golf Community has held the Duramed FUTURES GOLF Classic. After a successful first they were ready to welcome the future LPGA golfers to their community. The Duramed FUTURES Tour became part of the LPGA in 1999 to help prospective golfers from around the world to try their skills in golf to work their way into the LPGA tournaments. The Futures Tour included women golfers from many nations as past champions have gone on to the full LPGA tour.

Sponsorships for the 2009 Duramed FUTURES Tour at Crooked Creek will be Falls Auto Golf Classic who will be the main sponsor. Others include Delta, Sara Lee, Hampton Inn, Heritage Inn, Wal Mart and others. Local Charities will benefit from this golf classic which includes many youth programs such as Junior Golf programs plus United Way of America.
