Queen Esther Costume
To get into character, let�s see who Queen Esther was.
She was a young Jewish girl also called Hadassah, living in Persia. Her people - the Jewish community - were living there in exile. They were comfortable there but they were ostracized for holding on to their belief in the One True God. When the King of Persia decided to look for a new wife, Esther was forced to go into the palace along with as many beautiful young virgins as the king's men could find. The girls received a year of beauty treatments in the palace before they were allowed to meet the king. All of the young women would spend the rest of their lives there. One would be chosen to become queen. The others would live as concubines of the king.
Esther was beautiful, humble and smart. She won the king's heart. Later, as queen, she was asked to risk her security in the palace and her life to save her own people - the Jewish nation. With help from God, patience and intelligence, she overcame.
Queen Esther's costume would be made of beautiful fabric - fit for a queen. Deep purple or royal blue are queenly colors. She would wear jewels. Persia was a very prosperous country. Of course she would wear a beautiful crown.
Queen Esther's hair was probably dark. She was Jewish by birth. It would have been styled, not hanging straight. I'm sure the beauty treatments continued after she became queen.
Your hair. If your hair is brown but not dark, you can use a temporary rinse to darken it. The rinse is formulated to rinse out with the next shampoo. If your hair is blonde, I suggest that you do not use a temporary rinse. Often the color will remain in hair that is porous. It can often take several weeks to completely remove the hair color. So, if you are a blonde, find a dark wig.
Style your hair into an updo style if possible. Set your hair on hot rollers and use bobby pins to pin the curls up to the top or to the back of your head. Insert your crown into the curls.
