Understanding The Tarot

I know that all too often we want to jump head first into doing things. We get too busy trying to hurry up and get to wherever we're going or whatever we're trying to do to really pay much attention to all the details going on around us. While this is true, it also comes with knowing that along the way we are likely to be missing much needed information. When we allow ourselves to slow down and enjoy the process of each endeavor unfolding then we are more able to discern what necessary information is available to us, as well as, gather more understanding.

The same is true no matter what you are trying to achieve. If you do not pay attention to all the potential signs along the way, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem at the given time, then how can you expect to fully understand what it going on in your life and the world around you? One of the most important aspects of the Tarot is your ability to pay attention to all the minute details no matter what form they may appear. Not everything that applies to a reading comes directly through the cards, sometimes there are impressions you may pick upon around the person in which may help you more accurately interpret the situation; thereby providing a more personalized and authentic reading.

It is important to remember that the Tarot is simply a tool to help you expand your awareness and with it your ability to discern patterns, cycles, symbols, numbers, influences, elements and energies present that affect an individual and make sense of it all. Think of it this way, the Tarot cards are miniature pictures that reflect the world around you. Each card is a piece to the puzzle that is your life in all it's many aspects. When you study the Tarot, you can either memorize some shallow interpretation found in most books, or you can study all the symbology yourself and discern a more detailed understanding of what each card represents.

Tarot is not a course of study that is meant to be fast-paced. It is meant to be examined in depth from every angle and means possible to fully comprehend the real authentic meaning associated with the Tarot. It is also meant to be a life-long process of learning about yourself and the path you walk in life.

With this in mind, take your time when studying the Tarot cards and trying to figure out what they mean. In doing so, you will greatly enhance your own learning and understanding. Take your time, savor the experience and journey that you are about to embark upon as you begin utilizing the Tarot in your life. Pay attention to the signs around you in everything and everywhere. The more you pay attention, the more likely the signs will begin to beckon out to you drawing your attention. The Tarot is a tool that helps also expand your awareness and unlock more of your subconscious mind; especially considering there is a storehouse of universal information that we can tap into. Since our mind's think in terms of symbols, it makes perfect sense to pay attention to any signs and symbols we see along the way no matter what they are.

To Your Divinatory Success!
