Death Clock Predictions

If it were possible to see into the future and know the exact date and time of your death, would you want to know? Even though we all know (or should know) that we're going to die someday, the thought of knowing the exact time seems to unnerve many people.

Most people don't want to know their future, with the exception of the good stuff, like finding true love, winning the lottery, achieving great success. While it's impossible to predict anyone's future, good or bad, that hasn't stopped people from trying.

DeathClock.cc wants to help you take a look into the future and predict the date of your death. This site is a combination of morbid fun mixed in with some basic statistics.

If your up for the challenge, the DeathClock.cc is very simple to use. First enter your day, month and year of birth. Then enter your gender and personality mode. Toward the lower half of the page is a body mass index (BMI) calculator. After you calculate you BMI enter it into the death clock along with your smoking status and click the "check your death clock" button.

Changing any of the information changes the time you have left. Entering a random date I found that a middle aged, non-smoker with a BMI of <25 was projected to have another 23 years left. Yet a non-active smoker of the same age was projected to only have 4 years left to live.

The calculations used by the Death Clock are very simple. It subtracts your age from the current average life span projection and breaks that down into seconds. Activity level, smoking status and BMI seem to add some very general variables to the time table.

Another site which uses similar criteria to calculate your date of death is DeathClock.org. The site will provide you with your own personal death clock count down display. Let everyone know how much time you have by copying and pasting the provided code and adding it to your blog or website.

These statistics aren't based on science, so if you want or need an evaluation of how long you really have left see a medical doctor.
