Maisy - Maisy Goes to the Museum

Maisy Goes to the Museum is by Lucy Cousins. Kids’s favorite mouse visits a museum with her friends: Charley, Tallulah, Cyril and Eddie. The picture book is for children two-years-old and older. Lucy Cousins’ A Maisy First Experience Book has twenty-eight pages.

Maisy and friends visit a museum on a rainy day. They view several exhibits. Dinosaurs, antique transportation and toys, bugs and birds are in the big building. The five friends have so much fun as they move from room to room. Maisy reads books, draws pictures, plays with puppets and makes music. She dresses up as an Egyptian. Cyril Squirrel dresses up as a knight. The prefect day ends with the five friends having a delicious snack in the museum café.

Maisy Goes to the Museum like all Maisy First Experience Books is fun and informative. Maisy Goes to the Hospital, Maisy Goes Camping, Maisy Goes to the Playground, Maisy Goes to School are other Maisy First Experience Storybooks. Preschool and kindergarten children are apprehensive of new experiences. Maisy Goes to the Museum by Lucy Cousins gives toddlers and older kids a glimpse of the types of exhibits and activities in the big building adults call a museum. The story book helps to alleviate their fears of the unknown.

Lucy Cousins, a mother of four, knows it is fun and soothing to share new experiences with friends. Children love Maisy the mouse and friends from past board books, picture books, sticker books and toys. Preschool kids watch qubo channel and learn literacy, science and social studies skills with her. Children will enjoy Maisy Goes to the Museum.

Parents and teachers can use Lucy Cousins’ illustrations to talk about the vintage car, old bicycle, double decker bus and other forms of transportation. Many kids have never seen them. Dinosaurs are familiar to many kids. However, many have not heard about the woolly mammoth and saber-tooth tiger. Share information about the two animals with them.

Museums have programs especially for children. Some cities have a Children’s Museum. Read the local museums’ children programs on their website. Find an event or activity which fits the child’s interest. Take her with friends and have a joyous experience at the museum.

Maisy has a website. Click for fun activities and more.
