Rice Pilaf

Rice Pilaf

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 T. vegetable oil
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup long grain rice - uncooked
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/3 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 2 T. toasted sesame seeds

Preparation -
Saute onion and garlic in vegetable oil over medium heat until onion is tender. Add beef broth, rice, and soy sauce . Bring to a boil. Stir, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Stir in green onions, bell pepper and sesame seeds. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
