Granite painting your interior walls!

Are you fed up with those plain walls in your house and want to give an extravagant look to your home’s interiors? Here are some distinctive wall paint ideas that can help you with remodeling of your house. Paint is one of the cheapest and budget friendly ways to start your remodeling or giving a facelift to your home. There’s nothing like getting back to the basics when it comes to home remodeling.

Homeowners do not like keeping the walls bare and want to paint them in different vivid ways. There are plenty of wall painting ideas and each of them is unique with the color schemes and painting techniques used. I was so sick of the bland look in my living room. I tired ideas that were suggested by friends as well as surfing the net for some insight. I tried a few things and I was so disappointed. I gave up for a while and then when I was ready to give it a try- I found the solution to my problem. Granite paint! I took my focal point wall and painted it with granite paint. The color choice was darker than the other walls so it truly made it pop!

The main confusion while painting the walls is the selection of colors. It took me a few weeks to really find the color I wanted. With such a wide ocean of colors available, selecting one for your interior painting can be really frustrating. Painting the walls with unique techniques can bring a drastic change to the interior of your house.

Choosing your wall Colors
Colors of the walls are the chief prerequisites of any home interior decorating. And with such an extensive selection of infinite colors, choosing the one for your walls is quite difficult. There are basically three types of color schemes, warm, muted and cool. Warm colors include red, yellow, orange and their combination. These are bright colors and make some of the best wall colors. Blue, green and violet are cool colors and help to make a small room look bigger. Muted colors are most popular colors used for painting walls. Even muted colors help to make a small room look enlarged. Visit a nearby color store and choose colors of your choice to paint the walls. While choosing the colors, see that the colors complement well with the furniture of that particular room. If you are unable to visualize properly whether the colors of your choice will suit your walls and blend well with the furniture then try a few sample strokes and sit on it for a few days to see which colors work well for your room.

Choosing the Painting Technique that works for you!

After choosing the colors and the type of paint to be used, you need to decide the type of home painting technique you are going to use. Each of the painting techniques used gives a unique look to the walls. Let us take a look at these techniques.

Faux Painting: This is one of the most popular wall painting ideas. Faux painting helps to resemble natural elements like wood, granite, marble, etc. I also found that if you have some harsh walls that have been damaged and mudding them is not fixing the problem, granite paint is very forgiving and helps cover those annoying imperfections.
