Lady Antebellum Rocks Houston

Lady AntebellumPicture this in your mind, the dust settling from the mutton bustin’ (really cute exhibition event) and the huge stage being pulled out from behind the gate, the 50000 plus fans are excitedly waiting for Dave, Hillary and Charles to take the stage. The trio has had a fairytale start to their career starting with their first group of the year award beating out Rascal Flatts at the CMA's in 2009. It is hard to believe this group has been together less than 5 years with the success that they have achieved so far, look out world there is much more to come.

Lady AntebellumFrom the opening strains of Stars Tonight to the closing notes of Run to Me Lady A held the audience in the palm of their collective hands. Unfortunately the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo only has mini concerts after the bronco busting, calf roping and bull riding events. Thirteen songs just isn’t enough to make the audience happy, Lady A could have performed for hours with the response they received.

Lady AntebellumDave, who is mostly a backup singer, did an acoustical song and was handsomely rewarded with applause and hollering by the audience. He is an awesome guitar player that should get the recognition that Keith Urban and Brad Paisley get for their skills. Charles and Hillary kept the audience entertained with their onstage energy and passion for performing that showed through on each and every song that was sung.

Do I, a hit for Luke Bryan co-written by Charles and Dave, was a big hit at the rodeo with the crowd when the trio performed it. They rocked Reliant Stadium to the hit Rockin’ in the USA and everyone loved it. By far the biggest response was to the latest number one for the group Run to You that was the final song of the night.

Set List:
Stars Tonight
Love Don’t Live Here Anymore
Perfect Day
Hold On Tight
Slow Down Sister
Do I
Hello World
American Honey
Our Kind of Love
Need You Now
Rockin’ in the USA
Lookin’ For a Good Time
Run to You
