Chocolate Rose Bouquet



There are so many sweet ways to say Happy Mother's Day and they do not need to be expensive. One fun way to show your love and appreciation is with a chocolate rose bouquet. These look just as beautiful as real flowers and they taste delicious. Chocolate lollipops are so easy to create and adding some silk leaves turns them into a beautiful bouquet. The bouquet I made had 6 roses in it. However, you can make your bouquet as big or as small as you like. This bouquet is a great option for a Mother's Day gift. However, this would also be great as a centerpiece for a bridal or baby shower. Then everyone can leave with a rose lollipop as their favor.

The price of these sweet gifts ranges. I have seen them for anywhere from $30-$50 for a dozen rose lollipops. A 12 oz. bag of chocolate melts made 18 rose lollipops and the bag of chocolate was $1.99 on sale at a Michaels store. While at the store I also purchased the green, silk leaves. They were also on sale for about $4.99. As my vase I used an apothecary jar that I happened to have lying around. However, I would suggest checking out the Dollar Tree if you have one in your area. They sell glass vases and for $1, you can't beat the price. I already had floral green tape, lollipop sticks, cellophane bags, and ribbon on hand. Typically, these can all also be purchased at a craft store and do not cost much.

Chocolate Rose Bouquet
Chocolate Rose Lollipop:

Ingredients:

14 oz. bag of chocolate melts (I decided on pink. However, you can choose red, yellow, or any other color they offer).
Lollipop sticks
Rose lollipop mold
Clear cellophane bags
Green floral tape
Red ribbon

Directions:

1. Melt the chocolate melts over a double boiler.
2. Pour the melted chocolate into the rose candy mold and add the lollipop sticks.
3. Freeze for about 10 minutes until chocolate hardens.
4. Remove the lollipops and wrap the lollipop stick with the green floral tape.
5. Wrap lollipop in cellophane bag.
6. Tie with ribbon.

Once the all the lollipops are prepared it is time to create the bouquet. I arranged the lollipops and the greens in a bouquet, wrapped them with tissue paper and placed them in the apothecary jar. This is a surprisingly easy project that will impress.
