De-Stress

Know your body and what it needs to be healthy. Recognize activities that increase your stress levels physically, mentally, emotionally, and nutritionally. Slow down and limit these activities. Decreasing self-inflicted stress is a good way to take care of yourself, and a positive life habit. This is important for good health. Stress increases the production of harmful stress chemicals, and this is one of the contributing factors to the development of illness within the body. Decreasing stress will help your body to become healthier internally. Good health and inner peace happen naturally when you take good care of yourself on the inside. To look and feel healthier:

. Avoid severe dieting

. Eliminate caffeine

. Eat healthy foods

. Drink plenty of water to keep your mind and body hydrated

. Avoid alcohol and drugs

. Do not exercise with an empty stomach

. Avoid exposing yourself to stressful situations

. Develop a way to cope with stress

. Communicate with others in a healthy way

. Accept feelings and emotions

. Make efforts to relieve stress

. Say NO to unreasonable demands

. Take good care of your body and mind

. Do not allow small unimportant things to bother you

. Let go

. Give your body enough sleep and rest

. Discontinue a relationship that is not healthy for you

. Discontinue contact with a person that does not treat you with the respect you deserve

. Discontinue a job that is not healthy mentally, physically or emotionally

. Be kind to yourself

. Take care of yourself

. Work at an occupation that makes you happy

. Discontinue unhealthy habits
