Sparkling Hill's Multi-Steam-Sauna Spa Experience

Unless you’re a local, this is a spa you can visit on the fly. With it’s spectacular location where golf, and hiking are on your doorstep alongside horseback riding, boating activities, and scores of award-winning wineries to discover, it’s a destination unto itself for active spa-goers and a real gem of a place for spa aficionados.

Besides, in authentic European tradition, the steam rooms and saunas are open 2-10pm so that they are a healthful adjunct and relaxation experience to outdoor activities, and other spa treatments.

Here’s the run-down.

Aqua Meditation (30°C)
A gentle stream of water falls from the ceiling, softly, like a spring rain, pools into a large Swarovski crystal basin. The subdued light highlights the soothing gray/purple leather-like seating as calming music and orange essence create a restful, meditative environment.

Rose Steam (38°C)
The sweet scent of roses surrounds you in this fragrant steam where heated wall tiles embedded with rose petals gentle release the rose-infused aromas. A very romantic ambiance that lifts your spirits and balances your mood.

Salt Steam (40°C)
A slow drizzle of brine-infused water droplets fill the air, simulating a natural salt cave micro-climate that is absolutely pure. The high content of sodium chloride cleanses and significantly reduces stress while promoting slow, deep breathing, and skin renewal.

Crystal Steam (42°C)
This softly-lit crystal steam sauna includes aromatics of eucalyptus to energize and uplift.

Herbal Sauna (60°C)
Traditional beams of rustic wood imported from Europe combine with the woodsy aromatics of pine. A basket filled with stones is heated and seamlessly maneurvered into a large copper basin of water, creating an impressive bust of steam and sizzle. The resulting humidity and heat promotes the cleansing of lungs and provides a moisture surge for the skin.

Panorama Sauna (80°C)
Windows look out to panoramic views of the green forested hills that plunge into deep blue Lake Okanagan. Beginning with a mild temperature of slow-rising calibration, the dry heat of this more traditional sauna calms the body and promotes overall well being. Moderate temperatures help release tension and stimulate the glandular system while higher temperatures stimulate the body’s circulatory system.

Finnish-Classic Sauna (90°C)
This classic sauna, with gently polished wood on walls and benches, is true to the European spa tradition. The temperature range is between 80c and 110c and a low 10% humidity. It is ideal for cleansing the skin and lungs. Look up, and discover a ceiling of art inspired by Michelangelo.

Igloo Chill (10°C)
Brrr! But it's so refreshing after wilting away in the other chambers, and is actually recommended to reduce the body temperature. The chilled white marble tiles and floor are glazed with Swarovski crystal lacquer, while sounds of crackling ice fill the air peppermint and eucalyptus aromas awaken the senses. Head for the fountain dispenser that releases crushed ice into a large crystal-embedded bowl and rub the ice into your skin. It's a fabulous sensation!
