This is a great chance to see some great golf from the golfers from all over the world. They come from far and wide just for the chance to make it into the LPGA. Many of the girls who have won money so far this year will surely have a change to move up. This is why these tournaments are a fun event as you can get up close and personal with professional golfers.
Duramed FUTURES Tour has been in existence for the past 28 years and most of the gals playing in the LPGA are former FUTURES Tour players. The reason for the FUTURES tour is to help develop and prepare the golfers for a professional career. If any of these Tours end up in your area be sure to volunteer as you will meet some excellent gals. Offer your home or work at the tournaments were you can meet golfers from all over. This tour features 144 players from 31 nations and hole from 18-20 events each year.
As the Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City advertising for this event says to bring your family and spend an enjoyable day with your support it will benefit the American Heart Association in what they call “Go Red for Women”. There is a Pro-Am held the two days prior the tournament. I am sure they will welcome all volunteers and you will have an enjoyable experience watching these young golfers.
I hope the weather holds out for them as a series of thunder storms and tornados has been forecast from Kansas City south to Texas. We hope it passes by without any serious problems. After all the hard work to set up these tournaments we always hope that the weather cooperates and it is calm and sunshine.
