5 Simple Ways to Earn Affiliate Money

You’ve spent a lot of time putting together a blog that rocks. There’s a chance your readers will see your blog and want to do the same. A great way to share your blogthusiasm is to advertise the tools that run your blog. Here are five affiliate programs often overlooked by bloggers.

Registrar and Hosting Affiliate Programs

If you’ve registered your own domain and set up a self-hosted blog, you can join the registrar and hosting company’s affiliate program to earn money when a new domain is registered and hosted.

Premium Blog Theme Affiliate Programs

Bloggers that have purchased a premium blog theme or are members of a premium theme site can become affiliates of the company. If you are a niche blogger and have found the perfect theme for your website or blog, your readers will appreciate you sharing where you got it. The benefit for a blogger of a premium theme, outside of features, is that the developer does not force a backlink to their site on the theme. They will compensate you via an affiliate program and pay you for your readers using it though.

Premium WordPress Plug-in Affiliate Programs

Many premium WordPress plug-ins have affiliate programs as well. If you use specialized plug-ins to create custom or niche related features, share your find. Not only are you earning money, you are furthering a developer’s resources to create more specialized programs for blogging in the future.

Stock Photography and Design Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs associated with stock photography business sites are available and easy to promote. Near the image on your blog or blog post you can link viewers directly to the site or artist's profile at the stock photo site including your affiliate code and earn money when they make a purchase there.

Books and Courses

Don’t forget to share books and courses related to blogging or directly to your niche. Review the website where you found a particular book, course or resource tool for an affiliate link advertising how to become an affiliate and share their products.

To advertise your affiliate links, create a page on how you got started and discuss what you like about each company’s service. Include your affiliate link or their banner image for viewers to click on to get started blogging. You can also share links and banners in the sidebar via widgets (WordPress) or gadgets (Blogger). Remember to disclose that you earn money promoting affiliates on your blog.
