Dressing For The Second Interview

If you have landed a second interview for a job then you certainly have gotten the attention of the hiring party. Now is your chance to stand out above the others that have also landed that second interview. How you present yourself the second time around can make or break the deal.

Attending a second interview can typically be a lengthy day. How you dress will be observed considerably longer by the prospective employing company as well as by potential co-workers. Therefore, how you dress supports the image that you will portray on these people.

A good place to start is to match your personality, lifestyle and body type to today’s dress styles. Clothing should be well fitting but comfortable including shoes. What you wear will leave an impression on others about what you think of yourself, so dress as if you are on the job.

This is the interview where the hiring party will decide if you are a match for the job. Careful consideration will be given to your interaction with other employees as well as how your dress attire fits in with the presentation that the company is trying to give.

You should have gotten an idea on dress code from your first interview. If not then do your research and look into how the other staff is dressing by looking up the company website, visiting the business in person, asking friends and acquaintances for their input.

It is never a good idea to wear the same outfit at the second interview. You should have dressed more professional and impressionable at the first interview. A business type of dress is more appropriate for the second interview. Match your dress style with the style of other employees.

You can top a great business outfit off with great looking comfortable shoes. This is where you can set your interview apart from others. Select a well fitting, comfortable, professional pair of shoes to wear to your second interview. It will have the same affect as wearing a fine piece of jewelry.

Your shoes will speak the difference between you and the current employees of the company. Use your shoes as a statement tool to spruce up your business type of attire that will present you in a professional manner to the interviewer.
