These eyeballs are also ideal for anyone assigned to bring a Halloween treat to a party, especially for those trying to finish last-minute costumes. Dana Ford, who usually spends lots of time on special fancy and time-consuming Halloween recipes has been including these quick eyeballs on her annual Halloween BOO-ffet table since her kids were small, and her now-grown children and guests (she usually hosts 50 or more friends, family members and neighbors) would be very disappointed if they were missing.
The only ingredients needed are powdered sugar covered mini donuts, red gel frosting, green gummy Lifesavers, and a few semi-sweet chocolate chips. A cute Halloween tray makes it even more festive. If there are more than a few guests coming for Halloween, the recipe doubles and triples easily.
12 Creepy Eyeballs
12 powdered sugar mini donuts
1 tube red decorating gel
12 green lifesavers Gummies
12 semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Set the donuts on a cute Halloween serving tray.
- Starting at the top of each donut, squeeze squiggly lines of gel down the sides to resemble bloodshot eyes.
- Press a green Lifesaver Gummy on the top of each donut in the center.
- Place a chocolate chip upside down in the hole on the gummy.
That's it!
