Kuma GameCube Wireless Controller

If you've got a Wii and want to play GameCube games, then you have to have a GameCube controller. You can't play the games with the Wii controllers or with any of the other controllers that are available for other purposes. Kuma's wireless controller works without any issues!

Kuma GameCube Wireless Controller The GameCube controllers have a different type of connector than the Wii style items do. The GameCube ones plug in the Wii, in the top. To insert these GameCube controllers, open the flap at the top of the Wii. You'll find the almost circular shaped connectors in that area.

This Kuma version of a GameCube controller, being wireless, still needs a part to plug into the Wii. It is not able to send or receive signals with the built in wireless Wii system. So in order to form your connection, you plug a smallish box into the top of the Wii so it receives the signals. Then the handheld unit has batteries in it (three triple-A batteries) and an on-off switch so that you can conserve the batteries when you're not playing.

The GameCube controller is sturdy and plays well. Where I've had issues with some of my other GameCube controllers with the buttons not reacting quickly or the joystick having a "permanent tilt" to it, this Kuma controller has been reliable and sturdy. The plastic feels fairly steady under your hands. It's got a reasonable heft to it without becoming heavy or clunky.

Certainly the unit is very basic. It's a plastic molded unit, two halves screwed together, and doesn't have fancy ridges or molding or rubberized parts. Still, it does its job well!
