Temporary Holiday Body Art

Along with the holiday season come holiday parties and many people find they welcome the chance to dress up and celebrate to help chase away the chill of winter. And for adding just a bit of flash and dazzle to your holiday look, temporary body art techniques offer you a whole bunch of quick and easy ways to be a bit more festive.

Temporary hair color
If you wish you could add just a quick dash of color to your holiday 'do, look no further than temporary hair color spray. Designed to brush or shampoo out of the hair, these colored sprays go on the hair once all styling is done, and instead of being clear, they are an opaque color. A dash of red or green is easy to do, and metallic highlights of gold and silver can be really fun.

Glitter
Not all the glitters is gold, but a touch of gold glitter sure can add that perfect sparkle to your holiday look. There's a way to add glitter to hair (with sprays), to the skin (with shimmer powders), the lips (cosmetic glitter) and don't forget those fingernails too. The main thing to remember when using glitter for makeup effects is to get something designed for how you wish to use it. Not all glitters are cosmetically safe for applications around the lips or eyes, so be sure to check what you are buying.

The other thing to remember about body and hair glitters is that it's not uncommon for them to not stay put. A little bit of glitter can go a long way and don't be surprised if glitter you put on manages to spread or rub off during a night out. Bringing a lint brush to clean up your shoulders or makeup remover tissues to get glitter off skin where you don't mean to be sparkling can sometimes be necessary. Doing a test at home the week or a few days before the party can be really helpful.

And don't forget at the end of your party night to wash off all your holiday glitz. Not only is it healthier for your hair and skin, but it saves you untold effort when it comes to pillowcases and laundry! Happy Holidays!
