This time out, I have the latest from Cherry Adair, Undertow, (St. Martin’s, received from publisher), which kicks off a new trilogy filled with the sexy Cutter brothers amid their modern-day treasure hunts. In the first installment, Zane Cutter needs a mechanic for his attempt to locate and recover a shipwreck that promises to hold riches beyond imagining. Teal Williams
fits the bill, plus she’s totally not his type, which means she won’t be a distraction when they’re out at sea and he needs to focus on his job. Only Teal holds some secrets, secrets from her past and from his. And where there’s treasure, there are treasure hunters, and Zane isn’t the only person on the hunt for this particular ship, and not everyone plays by the rules. But Teal turns out to be a much bigger distraction than Zane could have imagined, and he finds he can’t resist her, and he’ll do anything to protect her when the danger finally catches up to them. I love this story. Teal is completely self-sufficient, hiding her wounds and scars, though it’s a serious challenge to resist Zane when he sets his sights on her. Zane has his own issues, but he knows what he wants, and when he decides he wants Teal, there’s nothing that will stop him from getting her. There’s plenty of adventure in this one, lots of steam to match the tropical setting, and some seriously gripping emotional drama to suit romance readers of all sorts. Adair is a pro at creating romances that will draw you in and keep you turning pages, and this is a great
addition to your Adair keeper shelves. I’m borrowing four of Cupid’s five arrows for this one. Teal and Zane are smoking.
Until next time, happy reading!
