Make a Cityscape

Make a Cityscape in Microsoft Paint

An easy cityscape to brighten up your projects, newsletters or writing stationery.

Make the basic clipart image in Microsoft Paint. Open your program.

Set your image size to about 6 inches by 4 inches by going to Image/Attributes.
Make sure the 'Colours' box is selected.

Set your foreground colour to black. The colour palette is at the bottom left of your screen.
Select the rectangle shape. The tools are located top left of your screen.
Set the shape to fill as you draw.

Make various box shapes next to each other.

To make a pointed roof, use the line tool to make a triangle making sure the shape is joined (that there are no gaps in the lines) and then use the paint bucket tool to fill.

Get rid of mistakes as you go by going to Edit / Undo or by pressing Ctrl + Z

Set your foreground colour to yellow.

Make small box shapes for windows.

Save your work as a Jpg or Png file.

You can use this basic clipart image to make stationery now. Use multiples of the image to line the base of the page. Resize and flip images to make your 'city'.

Add a moon and stars, and a dark blue background.
