Lisa's DDR Set List

If you're curious how DDR works for exercise purposes, here is a sample set list of what I'll do for about an hour of exercise, using DDR Extreme, DDRMax2, DDR Supernova 2 and DDRX on my PS2.

Note that I am certainly not a DDR Expert! I am an average, every day woman who is 135 pounds at 5'7". I don't run marathons and am not in top physical shape. This is a nice workout to keep me toned and my balance solid. These are aims that all of us should have, regardless of our age.

Many of the songs, especially the intro ones, I can nail on "perfect" but I include them in this order so my muscles can warm up gradually. You want to ease into the faster workouts so that your muscles can be warm before you take them on.

GREEN - Extreme - warm-up set because of wide selection
3 sets of 3 songs, 21 minutes

Go West
LT - gentle jumping

Kick the Can

Believe

Bizarre Love Triangle

Only You

Also: Your Rain, Reflex, Kids in America

Long Train Running
MED - high jumping and some fast work

Let's Groove Tonight

2 sets of 3 songs, 16 minutes, must restart each round

Take On Me

Unbelievable
DIF - fast smooth footwork

Got to Be Real
DIF - high slow jumps

Also: Rockafeller Skank, Le Freak

----------------------------------

YELLOW - X - jumps and footwork
2 sets of 3 songs, 18 minutes

Here It Goes Again
STD - nasty fast trips and doubles

U Can't Touch This
STD - easy start, some faster jumps

Always On My Mind
STD - smooth jumps

Total time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

I have a setup in my basement with a cheap monitor, the PS2 and dance pad, and a foam "floor block" beneath the pad to cushion my dancing. It's one of those interlocking types you find in hardware stores to put on basement floors. I dance in socks.
