My Eternal Family CSMP 2009

This program is based on the CSMP outline for 2008. Feel free to adjust this to fit your primary. You can do this by combining parts, increasing the narration parts or separating the parts into even more parts. I hope you find this helpful for your primary. Let me know if you use it.

My Eternal Family CSMP 2009

The primary children sit quietly and hum The Family is of God
as the leader stands at the podium and says her part.


Primary Leader: This year in Primary we have been learning that we each have an important role in building an eternal family. The children have learned that they can strengthen the families that they have now, and they can prepare to be faithful fathers or mothers in their future families. The role of the family is an important part of Heavenly Father's plan for us. We learn and live the gospel in our families. The scriptures, prayer, prophets, covenants, temples, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ are blessings that strengthen families.

Child: “All of you are children of the most High” Psalm 82:6

Child: I am a spirit child of Heavenly Father.

Song: The Family is of God or I Lived in Heaven

Child: Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me.

Child: Before I came to earth, I lived in heaven with Heavenly Father and Jesus.

Child: I am created in the image of Heavenly Father. I have a body, just like He does. My body is special and is a temple.

Child: The central part of Heavenly Father's plan is the family.

Child: "The family is ordained of God" Proclamation, paragraph 7

Child: I came to earth as part of a family.

Child: Adam and Eve were the very first family on earth.

Child: Heavenly Father blesses righteous families in the scriptures.

Child: Talk on choice of Genesis 6-8 (GAK 102), 1 Nephi 1-2 and 2 Nephi 2:4 (GAK 301), or Matthew 2:13-15, 19-20 (GAK 204)

Child: My family is blessed by the priesthood.

Child: "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" teaches me about families.

Child: "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" teaches my family how we can be happy.

Child: "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" teaches my family the importance of work.

Child: "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God" D&C 88:119

Child: Family Members have important responsibilities.

Child: Fathers preside over, provide for, and protect the family with love.

Child: Mothers nurture the family.

Child: I will obey my parents. I can obey them by...

Child: I have many family members who can help me to choose the right.

Child: "I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth" Job 19:25

Child: My family is blessed when we remember Jesus Christ.

Child: Jesus was born into a family, just like me.

Child: When I partake of the sacrament each week, I have the opportunity to remember Jesus and all that He did for me.

Child: Remembering Jesus helps me to choose the right.

Child: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" John 14:6

Child: Jesus Christ made it possible for me to live with my Heavenly Father again.

Song: Song of your choice about Jesus Christ

Child: In the premortal life, I chose to follow Jesus Christ.

Child: I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

Child: My family and I will be resurrected someday.

Child: By following Jesus Christ, we will be able to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus again.

Child: "What I the Lord have spoken,...whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same" D&C 1:38

Child: Prophets teach me how to strengthen my family.

Child: The prophets in the Bible teach me how to strengthen my family.

Child: Talk on choice of Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham & Sarah, or Zacharias & Elisabeth.

Child: The prophets in the Book of Mormon teach me how to strengthen my family.

Child: Talk on Alma, and Alma the Younger as found in Mosiah 27:8-37

Child: The prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. He teaches me how to strengthen my family.

Child: I can listen to the words of the prophets when I listen to general conference.

Child: "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" John 3:5

Child: Baptism and confirmation are ordinances that bless my family.

Song: Baptism or I Want to Be Baptized

Child: Baptism is the first ordinance of the gospel.

Child: Jesus Christ was our example and was baptized by John the Baptist in the River Jordan.

Child: I will be baptized and confirmed a member of the church, by someone who holds the priesthood, when I am 8 years old.

Child: My family is blessed as we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost.


Child: "Successful...families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance,[and] forgiveness" Proclamation, paragraph 7


Child: Faith, prayer, repentance, and forgiveness strengthen me and my family.

Song: Seek the Lord Early

Child: Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ strengthens me and my family.

Child: Prayer strengthens me and my family.

Child: Repentance strengthens me and my family.

Child: As i forgive, I will be forgiven.

Child: "And ye will not have a mind to injure one another, but to live peaceably" Mosiah 4:13

Child: I will strengthen my family.

Child: Family prayer strengthens my family.


Child: Reading the scriptures strengthens my family.


Child: Family Home Evening strengthens my family.


Child: Reverence and keeping the Sabbath day holy strengthens my family.


Child: "By love serve one another" Galatians 5:13


Child: My family and I can serve others.


Child: I am thankful for my family. I will serve them by...


Child: My family can serve others by...


Child: I can be a good example for my family by...


Child: I will prepare now to become a mother (or father).


Child: "I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" Matthew 16:19


Child: Temple blessings unite families.


Child: The temple is the house of God.


Child: I will prepare now to go to the temple.


Child: Family history and temple work bless all the generations of my family.

Child: My family can be together forever through the ordinances of the temple.
