Shania Twain released her first Greatest Hits package to record sales and fan anticipation. You either love her or you hate her, but either way you are talking about her.
Shania has admitted that when she and her husband, Mutt Lange, sit down to write songs, they are aiming for what will sell and will play on the radio. So far, it seems to working, Shania has become a superstar in country and crosses over to the pop genre more than some country music fans would like. She is one of the few artists that has ever released a double CD, 2002's UP!, one for the country purist and one for the fan that likes a more popish sound.
Now instead of having to carry around all her CD's to listen to the hits, she has released her Greatest Hits. Bucking the trend is Shania's style and she doesn't disappoint her fans now, she didn't include a few hits and then put a couple of new songs on this CD, this CD is jam packed with 21 songs, including the two versions of Party for Two (one with Mark McGrath and the other with Billy Currington).
She has included every hit she has had from 1995 to the present 2005. 10 years worth of Shania's toe tapping songs to her heartfelt ballads. The only song I could do without on this CD is I Aint No Quitter, I can't say why but it just doesn't do it for me, otherwise this is a great CD! I highly recommend it to the Shania fans out there.
