Free Samples of Cosmetics

Cosmetics can be expensive and many women have a limited budget to spend on their favorite skin care and makeup. So before splurging on the latest mascara – or whatever your temptation may be – why not try a free sample? They are readily available in a number of places. All you usually have to do is ask for one.

Department Stores
Cosmetics counters in department stores often stock a limited supply of samples of color cosmetics and skin care products. Beauty advisors sometimes include samples when a customer makes a significant purchase. If you’re looking for a sample of something specific, just ask for it. While they may or may not have a sample of what you’re looking for, you’ll never know unless you ask.

Cosmetics Stores and Rewards Programs
Stores specializing in cosmetics also provide customers with free samples. These stores stock samples provided to them by cosmetics companies. Like department stores, they often include samples when customers make purchases.

But stores like Sephora will also give customers samples of products they want. For example, if you want to try a particular sunscreen, simply ask a beauty advisor working in the store for a sample. He or she will then provide you with a small container filled with the product that interests you. While the containers are small, they supply you with what should be enough of the product to determine if you want to purchase it or not.

Some stores also offer generous samples through their rewards programs. These programs reward repeat business by giving customers a sample of their choosing after spending a specified amount of money in the store.

Social Media
Another way to get free samples is to “like” your favorite cosmetics lines on social media websites. These companies occasionally send out free samples, or even full-size products, to reward loyal customers who follow them on social media sites. An additional benefit is the opportunity to enter contests to win products.

Getting free samples is a fairly easy task. Just ask a beauty advisor in a department store or a cosmetics store and they will usually provide them to you. Other ways to get free samples include entering contests and liking your favorite cosmetics line on social media sites. Free samples can help you to decide if you really like a product or not. So it’s well worth it to ask for them or join a rewards program at your favorite cosmetics store to get them.
