Throwing a Great Bridal Shower

Bridal showers are that absolutely wonderful time when the bride to be is.....for all intents and purposes “stress free”. This is a part of the wedding that has nothing to do with the choice of bridal colors, shoes, gifts -- well at least on the brides' behalf. Let them have this partial day to celebrate the upcoming matrimony without making the decisions

There are very few rules in bridal showers, it is really about making the bride happy, as well as enjoying spending quality time with friends and family. Often times the wedding day is such a whirlwind....the bridal shower is remembered first.

This is a great time to give gifts that are centered around the couple house, yet items that the bride will directly use. If she cooks or better yet, they cook -- help them set up a great kitchen, if they are movie buffs work on a collection of movies.

Here are just a couple of great party ideas, the sky is limited to your imagination. Just remember to have fun, and make sure the bride has a stress free day.

“Room of the House” showers are a great way to give the bride a selection of different gifts. These items will cover the different rooms of the house. Pick out invitations that are related to decorating. When addressing the invitations, assign each guest a different room in the house, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom.....you get the idea. Give a few guidelines as to color preference and styles. It is a great way to get the couple started on there household together.

There’s also the “Naughty and Nice” shower for something a little more provocative and fun!!!! Guests will bring a “Nice” gift such as candles or bath goodies, as well as a “Naughty” gift for the honeymoon, such as lingerie, lotions, you have the idea. Use your imagination. You might want to think this out carefully so you don't offend anyone. The last thing anyone needs is a hassle for something that is so much fun. This is better suited at a private room or someones home that does not have children running in and out.
