Women of the Bible helped to shape the nation of Israel. They taught their children about the One True God and they patiently waited for the Savior to come. A woman gave birth to God made flesh and women worshiped at His feet as He began His ministry. Women were among the last standing at the cross to witness Jesus' sacrifice for sin. Women were the first at the tomb on the day of His resurrection. Jesus appeared first to a woman and gave her the joyous responsibility of carrying the message of His victory over death.
