- Large nose:
Typically, if you have a large nose, it is wise to wear bangs that are full and fluffy. The bangs should stand out as far as your nose. More fullness in the bangs helps to balance the larger nose and take attention away from it. Texturizing in the bangs will help to create fullness and while keeping them from appearing overly heavy.
- Long nose:
If your nose is large or long in relationship to the rest of your face, do not wear a center part. The center part serves as an arrow drawing attention to your nose. It will accentuate its size and length.
- Small nose:
A small nose can present its own challenges in hairstyling. If your nose is small, it is wise to wear your hair back off your face. If you must wear bangs, keep them thin and close to your forehead. Too much hair on your face or too much fullness in the bangs, will overpower your small features, making them appear even smaller.
- Crooked nose:
It your nose is crooked, there is hairstyle help for you, too. Almost everyone’s nose slants to one side or the other. The slant is more pronounced for some – so much so that it affects their appearance.
- Pull your hair off your face and look straight into the mirror. Does the tip of your nose slant toward the left or the right?
- An easier way to tell which way your nose slants is to have someone stand behind you and look down at your nose from the top of your head. Ask your hairdresser to do this while you are in the chair.
