Tax Prompts

Tax time does it send chills down your back or cause you to jump with joy? Let's share our feelings, thoughts with our journals on this predictable day.

As this day fast approaches is it catching you off guard? Are you prepared for tax day or have you already faced this giant and conquered it?

Let's share this day with our journals and find out why tax day causes so much stir in our lives and those of them around us.

Day One: Do you have your taxes done? Have you begun? Do you do your own taxes or do you hire someone to do it for you?

Day Two: Just how organized are you on a scale of 1 to 10? Use one as the least organized and ten as the most organized. Do you keep all your tax stuff in one place that is easy to find? or is it scattered about like the leaves in the fall?

Day Three: Do you anticipate a refund? Or do you think you will have to pay? What are your feelings, thoughts and opinions about taxes?

Day Four: Do you have to pay state and federal taxes or do you live in a state that does not have state income tax?

Day Five: Do you celebrate April 15th? If so what do you do and how do you do it? If you don't why not find a tax day celebration this year and join in. If you are not really a party animal create an imaginary party in your journal. Describe where, when, how, why and what.

Day Six: Rate your honesty when it comes to income tax on a scale of one to ten, with one being the lowest form of honesty you can get and ten being the most honest.

Day Seven: Have you ever been audited by the IRS? If so why not journal your experience, your feelings, the outcome and the procedure. If you have never been audited create a fake scenario on what you would do if you got the dreaded audit letter.

Day Eight: What forms do you file? 1040ez, 1040A, 1040B? If you use a different form list it here. Do you file electronically or do you file using the hardcopies of the forms and the snail mail. Have you ever made a mistake or has the person preparing your taxes every made an error? Was it in your favor or the IRS's?

Have fun on this holiday that usually causes fear and dread in most Americans.
