The first time I heard the deafening roar of an 850HP engine of pure power at a blistering speed of 185 miles per hour at my first NASCAR race…whew…I was blown away! It was the most thrilling rush I’ve ever experienced. I was hooked! The feeling that vibrated through my body was electrifying, to say the least. The smells of the track, the fuel, the fans, the pageantry, and the thrill of watching your driver win is totally hair-raising.
We have been season ticket holders at Texas Motor Speedway ever since they built the track. Our NASCAR weekends at TMS are always a family adventure, too. Our kids are just as hooked as we are. We thoroughly enjoy the family atmosphere and the time we have with our kids at the track is magnificent.
I learned a long time ago to write what you know. My love of writing started way back in high school and I’ve been writing ever since. My goal is to convey an understanding for those who don’t understand NASCAR or for those who want to learn more about it. I’ll be explaining the rules and regulations, the scoring system, tailgating, the drivers; anything and everything to help you understand why it’s such an exciting family sport.
