The efforts to curtail and even stop voters from reaching the ballot boxes has stepped up. Tougher regulations and rules have been imposed that could potentially see millions of voters turned away come election day. Your vote holds a lot of weight and can pack a pretty hard punch this election.

There is a purpose for your life; whether you know what it is or not. Forget about the past, and all that went wrong. You have a fresh start with the moment you woke up this morning. Now, let's get started!

It is my prayer that this day will find you in good health, great spirit and divine inspiration. Know that you are worthy of love, and all that God has promised.

We all go through rough times. Sometimes we feel as though we are all alone. But, did you know that you are never alone? And the fact is, that you are missed?

This year has seen its share of triumphs, defeats, evil and good. African-Americans saw many changes take place in the past few years. However, for many, 2012 felt like they took a step back in time to the days of Civil Rights—fighting for a our right to vote, equality, and justice.

Many advances have been made in the treatment and prevention of AIDS/HIV. So much more must be done. What part are you playing to help?

From slavery until now there has been one thing that certain in the African-American community: working together and for one another accomplishes more than if tried alone. Standing and fighting for those who cannot, makes the community stronger and a future possible for the generation of tomorrow.

Now, more than any other time, there are many seeking to find comfort. Comfort from all that has transpired. The grievous economy. The lack of employment. The loss of life. There is so much. Yet, many are turning to their faith and finding comfort in words that heal and soothe the broken hearted.

We shouldn’t vote for someone because he is Black or because, someone is White. Voting is taking responsibility for what you want to see changed in your life. Your voice is important. And, what you do with it, affects the next four to eight years. We can make wise and powerful choices.

Relationships take work. They are not built overnight but overtime with two willing partners that have agreed to listen, communicate and respect each other at all costs. Relationships work best when partners are fully engaging and are open and honest, and realistic with their expectations.
