Nowadays the streets of Polish cities are crowded with places for buying kebabs or other worldwide popular fast-foods. But there is one typical Polish snack – called zapiekanka – that is still as much popular as it was during 1980s.

On the 24th of December Polish families gather at the table to hear the Gospel about birth of Jesus Christ, share Christmas wafer and eat 12 traditionally served dishes. Wigilia is surely one of the most important events in Poland.

One of the most popular Polish bands of 1960s is ‘Czerwone Gitary’. The band played rock pop music and their style resembled ‘The Beatles’. Many of their songs became the classic of Polish music.
