Archive by Article Title | Archive by Date Yet More Top Romance Movie Couples The third and final part of my article on top romance movie couples. Valentine Day Movies Onscreen and DVD Prepare cinematically for Valentine´s Day. See what´s playing at the theatre and on DVD. Tristan and Isolde If you’re a fan of tragic love stories, then this period romance is for you. Swordfighting and derring do, sweet romance and emotional angst, plots and counterplots and the beautiful Irish countryside. Top Romance Movie Couples These cinematic lovers are all “tops”. And what makes them so? Chemistry, my dear, chemistry. Hotter-than-a-blowtorch-chemistry combined with a great story. The Terminator Believe it or not, "The Terminator" is one of my favourite romantic films. It may be called a science fiction action thriller but at its heart is a touching love story. The Prince and Me A commoner falls in love with royalty. Sound familiar? So´s this movie. Unless you´re a fan of Julia Stiles, you probably won´t remember this lightweight modern fairy tale. The Perfect Man Jean Hamilton moves her family every time a romance breaks up. But this time will be the last time, thanks to daughter Holly, who hooks her up in a cyber-romance with "The Perfect Man". Problem is, he doesn´t exist. Or does he? The Other Boleyn Girl "The Other Boleyn Girl", starring Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson and a ripped Eric Bana as Henry VIII is a glossy bodice ripper-style soap opera with plenty of scheming, betrayals and gorgeous costumes for lovers of historical romantic drama. The Long Hot Summer Comparing the 1958 movie starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward with the 1985 tv movie starring Don Johnson and Judith Ivey. Hot or not? The House of Mirth A luminous Gillian Anderson plays the tragic beauty Lily Bart in this 2000 adaptation of Edith Wharton´s "The House of Mirth", a story of social mores and the hypocrisy behind them.
