Romance Novels Updates
Hello, and welcome back! Summer is slowly winding down, and while I won't miss the heat and humidity, I will miss some of the lovely days we've had recently--days when it's been nice enough to sit outside with a book while the boys play nearby. Oh well. Pretty soon, it'll be chilly out and there'll be a cup of hot chocolate or spicy herbal tea at hand while we curl into a comfy seat with our book of choice. It's hard to say which is better.

So, what's happening here at BellaOnline's Romance Novels? Plenty. If you poke around the site regularly, you'll have noticed that, aside from the weekly articles, there have been some new additions made to the site: new author book lists, including Dara Joy, Kathie DeNosky, and Lori Foster. So if these are ladies whose books you've been meaning to pick up, now you can find a complete listing to cart off to the bookstore with you.

If you're new to BellaOnline's Romance Novels site, you may not know we keep all of the older articles archived for your leisure, or you may not yet have gotten around to them. If you've been visiting us for a while, you've probably read some of those older articles. I recently waded through them all and added direct links to the books that are currently still available, as I do in all of the new articles, for more shopping convenience.

I've also added something to our Industry Links for Writers section--a subtopic of How-To's, with links to some very helpful websites for writers of romance. Things like writing a synopsis, or turning up the tension in that story. You may be surprised by some of the great authors offering that assistance, too. I know when I stumbled onto some of those pages, I was very pleasantly surprised. As I find new links that I think will be helpful to aspiring romance writers, I'll add those to the collection as well.

I started adding subtopics on popular romance themes some time ago, and recently added another to that: Unskinny Heroines. The list seems kind of short, but I know there are more books out there with real-sized heroines. I'd love if you'd share the titles you know of with me.

As a reminder, we're getting ready to start our September Book Club discussion in the forum next week, and I hope you'll join us. For more info on this month's book, go here.

Oh, yes. One more reminder--I'm doing a book giveaway next week, also in the forum, so keep your eyes open for more info on that.

I'll continue to make additions and changes that I feel are beneficial to the site, and I hope you'll let me know if you have suggestions. I can't promise to implement them all, but I'll certainly take them under consideration as I look at my own plans for the site.

Until next time, happy reading!
