- MOBILIVRE-BOOKMOBILE project 2004 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
You can find the application form at: http://mobilivre.org/en/submit.html CALL FOR SUBMISSION DEADLINE: FEB. 1ST, 2004 You are invited to submit your bookworks, zines, and independent publications to be juried for the 2004 Regional Tour. This year, the collection will be juried in Philadelphia PA by a group of artists, writers and community organizers. Once again, the work will be selected based on inventive exploration of the book as a system, creative manipulation of its form and content, level of political engagement, and structural integrity. We are currently striving to make the BOOKMOBILE project more bilingual so French submissions are very welcome. Note that the space in the Airstream is limited so large submissions may not be appropriate. There is no limit to the number of submissions per person. Please find a 2004 submission form attached to this email. In 2004, we are planning a regionally focused tour that will visit communities in closer proximity to one another throughout Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, Pennsylvania and New York State. The Bookmobile will make longer stops in smaller rural communities. By limiting the geographical scope of the 2004 tour, we aim to generate creative momentum and encourage artistic production within audiences who may not have access to independent media. Making its debut in July of 2001, the projet MOBILIVRE-BOOKMOBILE project is a traveling exhibition of artist9 books, zines, and independent publications. Traveling by way of a vintage Airstream trailer, the BOOKMOBILE aims to make its way to community centers, schools, festivals, artist-run centers, libraries, and remote regions where access to such works is hard to come by. A group of coordinators travel with the exhibit and facilitate a series of workshops, artist talks, and educational forums.

- Media Release: Award Nominated Sci-fi Book is Re-released
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: MG Associates, Public Relations Firm mgassociatespr@yahoo.com Arizona/London http://clik.to/MGA Award Nominated Sci-fi Book is Re-released January 12, 2004 - Author Nina M. Osier proudly announces the re-release of her Frankfurt eBook Award Nominated "Rough Rider" by Double Dragon eBooks. Nineteen years ago, Executive Officer Joy Grant of the Rough Rider became the first human to set foot on Zorti. Captain Kirk Rogers bent regulations (not a new thing for that only son of a wealthy and privileged family!) by taking his ship uninvited into a system that was already inhabited, and by making contact on his own authority. He broke another rule when he accepted the local Elders'invitation and went down to the surface to meet with them himself, recalling his exec to the ship after she had established communication with the telepathic Zortians. Rogers continued doing things his own way when the Elders asked that he spend the night among them - and after that night, his officers never saw him again. "Romance, adventure, mystery, this book had it all and I found it difficult to put it down," says reviewer Annette Gisby. The author of sixteen published books, Nina M. Osier spends her days preserving future history as Director of Records Management Services at the Maine State Archives. She enjoys using ideas suggested by her "day job" while writing her science fiction tales and loves to explain that day job's purpose with these words: "I make sure everything that should be in the Starship Enterprise's library computer will survive long enough to get there." For more information, contact the author at: nina_osier@yahoo.com Or the publisher info@double-dragon-ebooks.com # # # #
