Sending a family photo with your holiday greeting card is a great way to let family and friends know how much the kids have changed over the past year. Why not put a different twist on this idea by making your own holiday greeting card and incorporating the family photo into the greeting card design. What you will need:
![]() Click to Enlarge Thumbnail Step 1. Family photo. Download your photo from your digital camera or scan it into the Paint Shop Pro program. Step 2. Start your card. Click File > New on the Menubar to open the New Image dialog box. Set the following values in the dialog box. (see Figure 1)
You should now have an 8 x 5 inch Image Window with a transparent layer. Step 3. Set the layer to white. The base color of the card can be any color you prefer. In the example I used a white (HTML color code: #FFFFFF) layer. Set the Style button on the Foreground Materials Box to Color. (see Figure 2 -- Materials Boxes - black square) Now click on the Foreground Materials Box to open the Material dialog box. Click on the Color tab in this dialog box, set the color of your choice, and click OK to close the dialog box. Now you can use the Flood Fill tool to fill the layer with color.
