How to avoid work at home scams !

Guest Author - Ronald Peter Ciras

If , you are one of millions of Americans who can't find work but who have
enough faith in their own ideas and talent, who since no one else will hire
you , then , you hire yourself , you are now thinking of becoming a part of
the work at home world. Before you actually do this brave venture you must
make sure that there is a market for your talent and that you have the right
tools on hand to help you get through this process with success .
Everyday , if , you are like me , I get at least 3 or 4 emails a day about
how to start my own business . But , which of these emails are for real work
and which are scams ? To answer that question , I turn to an article sent to
me by Pamela LaGioia , who is founder and Administator of Telework Recruiting ,
a premier job -lead website that provides thousands of job leads and job
resources for the US,Canada and U.K. In her article ,she states that:" 1.
The first thing to be aware of is what makes a job lead a scam . There are
business'opportunities' , and there are actual scams , such as when a person
or a company poses as an employment firm , yet requires you to pay X amount
of money in order for you to be placed .Or , the company claims to be a hiring
company but requires you to pay X amount of money to 'process your application .'

2. If , you are looking for a home-based job , you should follow similiar
steps when you sought traditional employment which include sending the company
you want to work for a resume tailored toward that position .Then , you must
go through some kind of interview. When you get hired , you sometimes must
sign an independent contractor agreement . Also prepare to complete necessary
tax forms . And make sure that you do the work that you were hired for .
And make sure that you receive a paycheck of predetermined amount ,either
commission or wages , for performing your work .

3. Also , a real job does not require you to pay for training . (Either ,
you have the skills or you don't). Nor would they charge you for materials
to do the job . ( Either you have them or the will GIVE them to you).
Finally , a real job would never expect you to pay for information about this
position . In sum ,you don't pay a company to work for them , they pay
you ."

The name of this article by Pamela LaGioia was called THE TECHINIQUES FOR
FINDING TELECOMMUNITING EMPLOYMENT .Any questions or comments may be addressed
to her at pam@teleworkrecruiting.com .
Thank You !
