Assigning Follow Up Tag in Outlook 2010
Assigning a Follow Up Tag to an email or contact is a quick and easy process. There are a couple of different way to assign the Follow Up Tag – either from the Ribbon (menu) or the context menu (right-clicking on item). Listed below are the instructions assigning the Follow Up Tag using both methods.
To Assign Follow Up Tag Using Context Menu:
Highlight the item that requires follow-up (email or contact)
Right-click on item to bring up context menu
Scroll down to Follow Up
Select desired due date to assign to item or create a custom date
To Assign Follow Up Tag to Item in Inbox:
Highlight the email that requires a follow-up
Click on the Home tab in the ribbon
Click on Follow Up
Select desired due date to assign to item or create a custom date
Click on the Message tab in the ribbon
Click on Follow Up
Select desired due date to assign to item or create a custom date
Highlight the contact that requires a follow-up
Click on the Home tab in the ribbon
Click on Follow Up
Select desired due date to assign to item or create a custom date
Click on the Contact tab in the ribbon
Click on Follow Up
Select desired due date to assign to item or create a custom date
To Mark Follow Up Item Complete:
Highlight item – email or contact
Select Follow Up from Ribbon
Click on Mark Complete
Highlight item – email or contact
Select Follow Up from Ribbon
Click on Clear Flag
