| Just as AdobeR PhotoshopR is the industry standard in graphic software, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) is the membership organization for Photoshop users. Membership in NAPP is open to everyone from those new to Adobe Photoshop to expert users. For a small yearly membership fee of $99 you receive many benefits. First you will get a yearly subscription to the Photoshop User print magazine which is published eight times a year. Each issue of the magazine has step-by-step tutorials, articles, reviews and the latest news. Just like NAPP itself the magazine has something for Photoshop users with all skill levels. There is also a member only website called PhotoshopOnline. This online community is loaded with resources such as video based tutorials/training, the latest plug-ins and a member's gallery. You also have free technical support. With your membership you will receive discounts and special pricing on software, hardware and accessories such as printers, scanners and upgrades. You are eligible for the NAPP health and life insurance. Other benefits that you may wish to take part in are the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour and the PhotoshopWorld Conference and Expo which is the yearly convention sponsored by Adobe. The NAPP email newsletter called Photoshop Update will keep you informed of dates and locations. For a long time, I didn't consider going to the Expo.
