Working as a telecommuter with an hourly wage

Working as a telecommuter with an hourly wage
I hear the same question over and over as people search for telecommuting jobs. Can I work from home and get an hourly wage? Yes, even though it may be more common to be paid by the call, keystroke, or page, there are jobs that pay by the hour. If you feel more comfortable with hourly wages instead of being paid for each piece of data you enter, you may want to look into one of these jobs.

Reference Verifiers-These workers call educational institutions and previous employers to find out if people really have that degree and that GPA and if they really did have the title of Marketing Specialist. This job has some detecting elements-you may need to track down an institution or business phone number and find the right department-so it can be challenging at times. You will need a high speed internet connection for this job. Who hires reference verifiers? Try Sterling: https://www.sterlingtesting.com/

Business to Business Telemarketing-This job is telemarketing, but doesn’t require you to call people at home. You market one business to other businesses. It’s not for everyone, but some people love it. For this job, you will probably need a dedicated phone line, a very quiet work area, and the ability to come up with quick answers and be very persuasive. Several B to B telemarketing companies pay hourly salaries.

Virtual Assistants-Virtual Assistants are very similar to their Administrative Assistant counterparts. They just telecommute. You would need a newer computer, good software, a printer, and probably a fax machine to do this job. You also may need a dedicated phone line and a high speed internet connection. You will be a Jack or Jill of all trades.
