Culinary Tails - recipes and Whimsy from Whidbey Island by FETCH! and WAIF a review

visit the site to read more. The combined efforts of these two groups is not only providing great services for the animals but a wealth of recipes for us to enjoy. Among the pages are many pictures of dogs and cats and stories from the folks that love and adopted them into their lives.

The recipes in this cookbook are divided into the sections: Brunch, Appetizers, Soups, Salads & Sides, Entrees, Desserts, Animal Treats and Miscellaneous which includes information on the annual Wag & Walk Festival, a Pet Bereavement Support Network, a map of Whidbey Island's Off Leash Parks, Wine Tips, Measuring Equivalents and Common Substitutions.

Some of the wonderful recipes you will find are Curried Beef in Pastry, Bay Breeze Bear Claws, Seafood Lasagna, Pineapple Cookies and Norwegian Ginger Pigs for Christmas (which I had to investigate) and many more. Animal Treat recipes include Easy Doggie Treats, Dr. J's Liver Leather for the Finicky Canine and a Cat Treat: Fish and Nips to name a few.

There are Wine Notes scattered throughout the book along with many informational tid-bits relating to animals. This cookbook is entertaining as well as full of good recipes and a good cause. If you are interested in purchasing one please visit their site for more information.
