Splendid Pressure Cooker by Fagor review

Splendid Pressure Cooker by Fagor

I remember mom sitting by the old fashioned pressure cooker reading while keeping tabs on what was cooking. While old fashioned pressure cookers had a reputation for being dangerous, new, modern pressure cookers like the Splendid Pressure Cooker from Fagor have multiple safety features. The sleek, new pressure cookers, have thick 3-ply aluminum clad bottoms to help prevent burned foods, and triple-lock safety systems.

This pressure cooker by Fagor comes with a detailed user's manual which is supplied with each one ordered. The manual covers many topics. Safeguards, components and features, how to cook with the pressure cooker, care, cleaning and maintenance and basic instructions for cooking various foods. They also offer a trouble shooting guide and various home canning recipes in the manual.

Besides the manual Fagor presents each owner with a cookbook with over 50 recipes with instructions for cooking in the pressure cooker. Most of the recipe pages are backed with a place to write your way of cooking each recipe. There is also a section in the back for writing your own recipes.

I found that cooking a roast was quicker than I normally have to cook one to make it tender so that is a definite plus in my mind as I don't like spending a lot of time in the kitchen when I have other things to do. The Beef Pot Roast with Tomato and Pearl Onion recipe offered in the cookbook is delicious!

Some of the wonderful recipes offered by Fagor with their pressure cookers are German Potato Salad, Tortilla Soup, Sweet-Sour Spareribs, Herb "Roasted" Chicken, Piquant Shrimp and Creamy Cheesecake with Fruit Glaze to name a few.

If you are looking for cookware that saves time in the kitchen and gets the food on the table faster then check out the Fagor Pressure Cookers and find some time to relax after a long day.
