Taste of Victory A Recipe Collection from the 2004 Crew Chef Challenge

"Taste of Victory" A Recipe Collection from the 2004 Crew Chef Challenge

This cookbook by RACE Motorsports Marketing, LLC, contains 300 recipes submitted by racing fans from across the country and comes from the 2004 Crew Chef Challenge and event which has 13 teams competeing for prizes and bragging rights. It is reported that the winner of the Crew Chef Challenge was a gentleman who cooks for the Busch Series, James Lupo. The recipe was 'Red Wine Rib Eye with Mixed Pepper Salsa" and even the kids loved it! This cookbook is also officially licensed by NASCAR and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Victory Junction Gang Camp (a place for chronically ill children).

A wonderful padded album type recipe book with three ring binder for easy turning this book is done in an attractive racing theme. I can see this as a wonderful gift for anyone! Men will love it, graduates, college kids, wives and chefs, this is a great cookbook. The sections are also racing themed: Gas And Go, Gooood Morning Octane And Burnin Rubber Day, We Can Make That Pit Stop In 13.8 Seconds, Grillin Greats . . .Tales From The Infield and Ahhhh . . .Victory Is So Sweet!

Some of the mouth-watering recipes that abound in this cookbook include: Key Lime Motini, Coconut Colada Tart, Teriyaki Glazes Beef Kebabs, Muffuletta, Secret Ingredient Banana Nut Bread and Challenge Buffalo Wing Dip to name just a few.

There are some great graphics by Artist Lori Munro on the indexed divider pages. They also provide a small booklet in the back with an herb & spice guide, cooking tips, cooking terms, guides for calories, quantities, measuring, baking breads & desserts, vegetables & fruits and creative napkin folding. Another thing I really loved is that it comes with it's own Cookbook EZel which allows you to have the cookbook in easy reading position while creating your meals! (I wish I had owned one of these long ago!)

Crew Chef Challenge also has a store that provides Gourmet sauces, mustards, caps & t-shirts along with the cookbook. Please visit their site at www.racesports.net. Not only will you be getting a wonderful cookbook but you will be supporting a good cause!
