What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is an omnidirectional technology, able to send and receive signals from all directions, that provides limited-range voice and data transmission over the unlicensed 2.4GHz frequency band. It allows connections with a wide variety of fixed or portable devices that would normally have to be cabled together. Up to eight devices, one being the master and the others slaves, can communicate with each other in what is called a piconet or PAN at distances up to 30 feet.
