Nottiwear - Knot what you're thinking

They are soft and sexy just like us. Nottiwear was originally designed for women who went through the ordeal of breast cancer and mastectomies but the more the product has become known the more it has caught the attention of women from varying backgrounds and sizes.

When I first introduced Nottiwear to Large & Lovely readers the Ottawa company's focus had nothing to do with plus-size. Their largest size, a XL, was equivalent to a 14 - 20. At that time I talked with designer, business woman, entrepreneur, breast cancer and mastectomy survivor, Ann Silverstone, and this is what she had to say, "I would like very much to accommodate plus-sizes and will do so as a "special order" for now. If there is a greater demand as time goes on, I might include the plus sizes in the regular line." It was promising but still not the best situation.

Great news! Ann has created a Notti that will be perfect for women in the 26 - 34 size range. "The Notti has some spandex in it so it has quite a bit of give. It would fit somewhat loosely on a size 26 and somewhat snug on a size 34".

At the moment it is available in Elegant Black (with plans to introduce other colors in the future). It is labelled LB, a new size reference representing "Large and Beautiful". It looks exactly like the other nottis in the regular line only slightly longer. And the best part, it's still soft and sexy. The price is $79.95(Canadian) plus shipping and applicable taxes.

Update: In August 2007 Ann Silverstone suffered a "recurrence and general spread of her breast cancer" and passed away. Her husband and daughters are continuing with Ann's venture and you can contact them via email (asilverstone(AT)rogers.com) for inquiries or a brochure on these simple yet sexy designs.
