Guest Author - Sandy Moyer

Crab Dip

Here's a recipe for a tasty dip for seafood lovers. Serve with crackers, thin pretzels or corn chips.

  • 2 cans lump crab meat - (6 oz. each) - drained, flaked and picked clean
  • 2 pkgs. (8oz. each) cream cheese, regular or low-fat - softened
  • 1 jar (3 oz.) diced pimentos
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped white sweet onion
  • 2 garlic cloves - crushed
  • 3 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 T. hot sauce.
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • Sour cream to thin (optional)

Preparation -
Mix all the ingredients together in a blender or in a food processor. Process until well blended. Or... combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Whisk together or mix well with a spoon. Place the mixture in a covered container and chill for at least one hour before serving. For a thinner dip, add a small amount of sour cream.
