Mother's Day Prompts
Guest Author - Melissa Waters

May 13th is the date this year that we set aside to celebrate our mother's and all that they are to us. Let's include our journal and share something about mom.

Everyone has had a mom at some point in their life, if your mother is not a positive influence in your life you can use these journaling prompts to create your ideal mother.

Here are some prompts to commemorate the mother's in our life on this special day:

Day One: What is your fondest memory of your mother that you have? Why is this your fondest memory? Do you and your mother talk about this moment and how it has shaped your life?

Day Two: What character traits do you admire in your mother? Do you possess any of these traits? Do you wish you did? Why not share with your mom if you can how these have impacted you over the years and say thank you.

Day Three: Are you currently a mother? If not do you want to be? What in your mind would be the ideal mother? Do you think your ideal's are realistic? Why or why not.

Day Four: Quick list ten things you like about your mother and why you like these things. You might consider sharing them with mom in a letter this Mother's Day.

Day Five: Ok, start another list and share with your journal ten things that you don't like about your mother. Now, be nice and don't share this with anyone, you might even consider destroying it once you've wrote it.

Day Six: Do you buy your mom something for Mother's Day every year? Share some of your past gifts to your special mom and what her reaction was.

Here are some special Mother's Day gifts or books for mom:
