Perhaps you have noticed the little section called the DAILY CLICK on the BellaOnline main page? It contains links to lots of light-hearted games and activities to take your mind off work for awhile.
For example, if you used to like to play the word game Hangman - or still do! - you can choose to get words from BellaOnline's various specialist topics. As an adult, I now find the name slightly bloodthirsty, but maybe that's part of the appeal to children.
Astronomy is now on the topic list. The words are a mixture of general knowledge astronomy words and those which are a bit more advanced.
So, let's see, you might have _ o _ _ e t and you've guessed A, I, L, D, M, S. You can still make three more wrong guesses before you're in trouble. But would an "R" help?

If that's not to your taste, how about a TO MASONRY Word Scramble? Whoops! That's ASTRONOMY Word Scramble, of course. It's just the thing for people who like anagrams. How about this one? APECS I'll give you a hint - it begins with an "s," but you won't get any clues in the real game.

You can print a Word Search puzzle in order to look for the listed words. It might also be good for some vocabulary building, or just a quiet activity, for a young person. Click here for the Astronomy Word Search.
All of these games on astronomy or any other subjects that interest you, are also accessible in the menus that come up in the DAILY CLICK.
But how about something more challenging? Some sites at BellaOnline have quizzes on their topics. They each have ten questions and a choice of up to four answers. You get the answers and an explanation at the end.
There's now one for Astronomy. If you're registered at BellaOnline, your score on the quiz will be recorded for you in your members area. I've looked at the astronomy for schools and picked out "10 Basic Astronomy Facts."
10 Basic Astronomy Facts is a general knowledge astronomy quiz for beginners. What do you know? Have a go.
For some reason the BellaOnline system has doubled the apostrophes in the quiz.
