Bread Bowls for Your SoupHave a Little Fun When Serving Soup Bread bowls are popular for spinach and other dips but can be used for serving soup also. A nice brunch touch is to serve soup in individual bread bowls. Just buy small round loaves of Italian bread. Cut off about 1 inch of the top. Scoop out most of the soft bread, leaving at least 1 inch to the shell. Fill with hot soup and place 'lid' on bowl. When soup is finished use a knife and fork to eat the bowl. Use the remaining bread for breadcrumbs or break into small pieces, season with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and dried chives and toss in egg mixture when making scrambled eggs. Yummy.
