Do you want to make Valentine's Day extra special this year? Colorado may have what you're looking for.
Each year, thousands of people mail their Valentine's Day cards to the post office in Loveland, Colo., where volunteers spend two weeks putting a special Valentine's greeting postmark on the cards. It's estimated that nearly 250,000 pieces of mail go through Loveland just to get the stamp.
If you want to have your card postmarked, put a stamped, pre-addressed envelope with your card enclosed into a larger envelope and address the larger envelope to:
Postmaster
ATTN: Valentines
Loveland, CO 80538
You will probably need to put 60 cents in postage on the larger envelope. You should do this in the next couple of days in order to get your card postmarked for the holiday and sent to your valentine in time.
