Daisy Scout Songs
Guest Author - Diana Laulainen-Schein

My youngest daughter is going to be a Daisy next year and I'm already panicking. Daisies are so little. I started looking at what's out there on the web for Daisies though and some of it is really fun!

For example, there are lots and lots of songs out there on the web. Songs sung to familiar tunes work well at the Daisy age level and you can find the right song for the moment with just a bit of browsing. You particularly should teach them this clean up song, sung to Jingle Bells! :)

Leader:
Daisy Scouts, Daisy Scouts.
Let's tidy up the room.
Daisy Scouts, Daisy Scouts.
Time to go home soon.

Girls:
Daisy Scouts, Daisy Scouts,
We're picking up our things.
Daisy Scouts, Daisy Scouts,
Hear our voices sing.

Here are some options just for one song. All of these lyrics work to the "I'm a Little Teapot song." There's nothing cuter than having a group of Daisies learn one of these songs to sing at their investiture:

I'm a Daisy Girl Scout, yes I am.
Here is my tunic, here is my pin
When a do a good deed, hear me shout,
I'm a Daisy, inside and out!

OR

I'm a Daisy,
Daisy Girl Scout,
and I'll tell you something too,
I'm a loyal lil' Girl Scout,
And my color is true blue.

OR (and this one's my favorite)

I’m a Daisy Girl Scout, short and sweet
Here are my hands and here are my feet
If you need a hand just give a call
And we’ll come running one and all.

OR

We Are Daisy Girl Scouts
And we're neat
Here are our hands, here are our feet
When we get together
We all say
Let's have fun the Girl Scout Way

OR

I'm a Little Daisy
A small Girl Scout
I love to learn and
Find things out.

I want to know what
The world's all about
That's why I'm a Daisy
A small Girl Scout.

OR

I'm a Daisy standing tall (stand tall)
I'm a Daisy, friend to all (wave to friends)
I'm a Daisy, helping every day (hands out, palms up)
Living my life in the Girl Scout way (give Girl Scout sign)

OR

I'm a little Daisy (hands together, at side of face, head tilted)
dressed in blue (hands pick up hem of uniform smock)
I am a Girl Scout (make 3 fingered sign)
you are too (point to neighbor)
When I go to meetings (hands out, palms up)
I sing and shout (hands cup around mouth)
I love being a Daisy Girl Scout (point to heart)
