Summer is the time for fresh, fresh, fresh! Fresh tastes, fresh veggies, fresh fillings, and fresh condiments are all part of the summer sandwich experience. Grilling out is an element of the summer mystique. Both meats and veggies can be prepared on the grill. Some of these treats are flavorsome vegetarian sandwiches, while others are luscious for meat lovers. Take a little peek at these tasty delights!

*Egg salad sandwich made with avocado substituted for mayo and spread on a tostado shell and topped with spring onions and alfalfa sprouts.
*Squash burger on a bun with mayo, sweet onions, lettuce, and tomato.
*Egg salad with chopped tomatoes wrapped in a Romaine leaf.
*Naan with falafel, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce and spring onions with Thousand Island dressing.
*Guacamole on a crispy corn tortilla with melted pepperjack cheese, topped with shredded lettuce and Pico de Gallo.
*Eggplant, grilled with salt and olive oil, slipped into a pocket pita with tahini, spinach with baby kale, and sliced tomatoes.

All of these sandwiches can be made at any time of the year. Most ingredients can be purchased in a grocery store.
